The NEPAD-Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility (NEPAD-IPPF) fifteen years’ anniversary report presents the achievements of the Special Fund during its first fifteen years of existence. The NEPAD-IPPF wishes to acknowledge and to thank the Oversight Committee (OC) for its policy direction and continuous guidance throughout the years.

This is also the place to recognize efforts of all the people without whom the great achievements presented in this report would have not been possible.

The NEPAD-IPPF also recognizes the leadership of all the AfDB’s Vice-Presidents Infrastructure, Private Sector and Regional Integration (OIVP) who supported the Special Fund since its inception: Mr. Mandla Gantsho, Mr. Bobby Pittman, Mr. Gilbert Mbesherubusa, Mr. Solomon Asamoah, and the Vice-Presidents Private Sector, Infrastructure and Industrialization (PIVP): Mr. Pierre Guislain and Mr. Solomon Quaynor.

The Fund also wishes to recognize past Directors: Georges Taylor-Lewis, Rosalind Thomas, Philibert Afrika, Sylvain Maliko, Moono Moputola, and current Director Amadou Oumarou for the managerial oversight of the activities of the Fund during the past 15 years. The Directors’ role has been crucial in ensuring that the Fund is run smoothly and that it delivers on its mandate.

NEPAD-IPPF make special thanks to the past Fund Managers: Inni Urua, Lamin Barrow, Bamory Traore, Ralph Olaye, Mamady Souare, Shem Shimubuya, and the current Fund Manager, Mike Salawou, for their relentless day to day efforts and management of the activities of the Fund to ensure it delivers its objectives, achieves operational efficiency and maintains a highly performing portfolio of projects and keep donors actively engaged on the Funds activities.
