SATA Backhaul Links Study

Objective of the project

To confirm the technical feasibility as well as the financial, economic and environmental viability of all the identified missing links of the SATA Backhaul Links project and of the overall system, in order to (i) complete the SADC Region Information Infrastructure (SRII) and (ii) link SRII to EASSy. The study will also investigate various financing and management options.

ECOWAN

Objective of the project 

To improve the connectivity between ECOWAS offices and affiliated organizations, thereby contributing to the integration of the ECOWAS region by providing a robust platform for regional information systems. The objective of the Preparatory Activities is to prepare the feasibility study, environmental and social management plan and tender documents for the ECOWAN project

East African Submarine Cable System (EASSy)

Objective of the project

To assist in the transaction analysis phase of the project as well as update the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) to enable the project to reach financial closure and physical implementation. The EASSy is an initiative to construct and operate a submarine fiber-optic cable along the east coast of Africa to connect 20 coastal and land-locked countries to each other and to the rest of the world.

Central Africa Fiber Optic Backbone project -CAB Gabon

To conduct a comprehensive feasibility study that will covers the detailed technical designs, economic, financial, environmental and social aspects required for the Central African fibre optic backbone (CAB-Gabon) project to reach the bankable level. The CAB-Gabon will complete 1901.8 km fibre optic connectivity that will cover the remaining fourteen (14) missing links on the Gabonese national backbone project.
